1. And what, pray tell, do you base that on? The wins that Michigan State and UCLA gave to them? The win over a ranked team in game 1 that was never ranked again? The blowout losses to the only BCS quality teams they played? Their perfect record against the military? What? What makes them better than most people are giving them credit for?
    Inquiring minds want to know.
  2. I am not saying they are a great team. It is just that many are predicting us to win 50-0. ND is better than Ole Miss, and we struggled with them. Just because we are supposed to wax some team doesnt mean it is going to happen, and prob. wont happen.

  3. I still think the reason we struggled with Ole Miss is because we were looking at Arkansas. And I think that Ole Miss wanted the game a little more.

  4. No doubt in my mind that's exactly what happened! Sure you ain't a dude? :thumb:

  5. Here's what I see happened against Ole Piss: (when reading this keep in mind that I don't dislike Les Miles)

Les Miles had been pumping the players up ever since the Auburn loss that they could and would still play to win the SEC West. Les Miles said it in interviews, on radio shows, and to his team time and time again. On Saturday, the LSU players were pulling for Mississippi State and Alabama to win. They knew that if State and Bama won, they would control their own destiny against Arkansas. Since they had the night game, they got a chance to watch closely and see the results of the important SEC West games. Well, after Arkansas and Auburn won, the air was let out of the LSU balloon and they came out flat. That, to me, is the coach's fault. That mixed with the fact that Ed Orgeron was going for it on 4th down in LSU's territory, fake punts, onside kicks, etc. led to an overtime game with a sub par Rebels team at Tiger Stadium. I heard more cussing in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night than the movie "Bad Santa". LSU fans would have made a sailor blush with some of the words that they were yelling. In conclusion, I think it was Coach Les Miles' fault for not getting his team up for that game. I think he predicated the whole season after our first loss on the chance to win the West a little too much......and once the players realized it was mathematically impossible, they were let down. Only after they realized they were getting slapped in the face did they start swinging back. It was almost too late.

    There is my two cents

  6. Nope, I ain't a dude:lol:

  7. Well, I'm not one of those 50-0 guys and I'm not saying we just have to show up to win. I wouldn't bet against Ole Miss if they played ND though.
  8. We are in the same boat then. :thumb:
  9. I think the game would get very hairy if Weiss outcoaches or outwits Pellini. I hope the game doesn't turn into a shooting gallery. Another key is that the LSU specials team play has got to step up.

I hope the revisit to the New Orleans dome for the Tigers since the 2003 NC game will help to fire up the team, particularly the seniors.
  10. This game is going to carry more importance because it is a BCS level matchup.

I hate to say it, but this game will come with all the hype and nostalgia of a typical Notre Dame biased media love fest.

Hopefully, LSU will represent the SEC well.
