That would be a crying shame.

Spurrier is the only coach who ever did squat there and recruitment in SC won't get it done. Would have to get the Florida and Georgia leftovers

And that's why he would be a bad hire for us if the UT dream job is true. I could see him coming here, doing well for a cpl a seasons, then when the wheels fall off at UT and Strong loses his job... he up and leaves for UT leaving us holding our dicks.

We're all assuming here and this is all just guessing. Sure, maybe he leaves, but there is just as much chance he comes here, does great, loves the university and atmosphere, and stays.

That could be any coach. Ever hear of a coach being courted by his dream job before? Like a coach from Michigan that we might be familiar with. You take the best coach available and ride him until he dies, retires, leaves for his dream job or runs the offense into the ground.

Yeh but... in the case of Miles and Michigan, they've been through several coaches already, while LSU has given raises and extensions for mediocre play and development. Maybe he figured he'd stay where he could continue collecting a check for as long as he could. Look where it's gotten him now with LSU.

Abut 60 million dollars, a championship ring and a much better resume than when he came.
