I have 100% reliable indicator on who will win elections--my mother. She dosen't give a damn about issues, war records, blah blah blah, she votes for who she would like to sit down and have a cup of coffee with--the "X" factor--you might say likeability. She loved Mary Landrieu, called the other one a bitch. She liked Bush, hated Kerry, loved Clinton with all her heart.

its far and away the biggest determining factor in elections, whether you like it or not.

    "convinced"?

i thought you and i could agree that reasonless faith is silly. there is no real reason for you to be "convinced" that bush got less votes except for you wish it was true. even your party leaders concede they lost. live in reality. everything is not a conspiracy. occams razor, bush won.

Some people will continue to live in Michael Jackson's Neverland.
They can't except the fact that Kerry lost.
The real reason why Kerry lost is that he was a fool who was allowed to run
    for president.
The real reason Gore lost was he lost the Cuban vote in Florida because of the Elian Gonzalez fallout.

I now like Gore believe it or not, I think he would've had a better chance to win this past election not to mention he is a better man than Kerry.
He didn't try to pretend to be something he wasn't just to be the next JFK!

That mentality is what's going to guarantee that Democrats will continue to lose in national elections. They just can't accept that what they're doing doesn't work or that they're doing anything wrong, so they absolutely refuse to change their strategy. It's ultimately going to be what dooms their party.
