Cannon got into trouble after his football days were over. I don't recall Foster's problems, but when Collins was on the LSU team he was, I think, charged with a misdeamenor. It was only later, when he was with another school that he got charged with a felony, and was dismissed from the team. If this is wrong, somebody please correct me.
I was correlating Cannon and OJ. Obviously their crimes were different, but neither was something to be proud of. Foster stole a purse, and I don't think he was kicked off the team for that. Collins was caught peeping at people in their home and I don't think he was immediately kicked off the team.
Also, went to jail and has been an embarrassment rather then an icon for the school. He may have "served his time", but I am sure he still pays for it today as he is totally hidden and out of the lime light. Think about it - the only H. Trophey winner staring on the '58 NC team, and he was hidden away for the 2003 NC run. He could have been the media darling. Now, just another dentest.
He was arrested for forcing his way into a womans apartment and acosting her in the bathroom. Her roomate called police. It was well known he was hanging out with Master P's group during that time too. I guess he thought he could treat woman like they did in videos.
A crucial point that was missed in all this was that the gun that was pulled on a student was NOT a real gun. I may have misheard, but I'm pretty sure they said the gun was not real...I think it was some sort of joke. I know, I know, "what kinda joke is that?" ...still, it's better than pulling a real gun on someone.
