    Currently ranked? No.

If you want to go by WAS ranked, then LSU has played FOUR teams that have been ranked in the Top-10! And beat 3.

That's where the computers come into play, right? Not like we've garnished much computer play this season...

    Terry: I believe that Auburn's record is currently 5-3 (3-2), not 6-2 (3-2).

Your drinkin the Saban kool aid there Terry!
You are crazy if you think Bama can beat LSU this year!
We would have to play like we did @ Kentucky but then again we have played badly @ Kentucky for a few years.

Bama has 0 chance winning this game.
They don't have the horses to compete with us on either side of the ball.
I aint sayin this because I drink the purple kool aid.
I'm sayin this because you can gauge what a huge win it was to beat Tenn but I predict Tenn could lose a few more games this year including Vandy.
Fla and California both whipped Tenn's ass, they aren't a very good team.
    Tennessee losses
    45-31 Cal
    59-20 Fla
    41-17 Bama

In their wins they gave up at least 19 points a game including 27 points to Ark state.
No wonder Bama's offense looked so good against the Tenn defense!
Keep drinkin the kool aid though:thumb:

I didn't say you needed more than one ooc marquis win. I said you had the ONLY marquis win ooc in the SEC conference this year.
And yes, if you keep letting teams play you down to the wire, especially from here on out, you run the risk of, say an Oregon, putting up numbers on their remaining foes, most of whom are ranked, and stealing some votes.
My guess is there will be no undefeated teams by year end, but I could be wrong on that.... and #2 from the one-loss teams is yours for the taking, unless your wins are less than impressive.
Therefore, a statement win would definitely solidify your position.

Something to keep in mind though... LSU's ranking went UP after the Auburn game, so the voters aren't looking at the win as "less than impressive". And they moved up not only because USF lost. In the AP poll, LSU moved up from #5 to #3, leapfrogging Oklahoma, and picking up 4 additional first-place votes. In the Coaches poll, LSU also leapfrogged Oklahoma into 3rd place.

I'm not gonna read my horoscope today... I bet it says "don't write anything cuz your communication skills suck"...

However, again, I was talking here on out... never said the win over Auburn wasn't impressive... only that the rest of the SEC hasn't done their part in winning the bigger ooc games.
There's only three things, imo, that can keep LSU out of the big game.
    1) losing.
    2) The undefeateds stay undefeated.
    3) You struggle home winning close games and Oregon wins out, thumping people along the way.

    A) Oregon wont do that, and considering we play on National TV prob. our last three games, that will help us...whether it should or not.
    B) Computers aren't that smart. ;)

You missed the "let's consider" beginning...

It was about this game being for the West. :thumb:
