Bobby Knight at LSU would be simultaneously scary, fun and exciting... I just can't imagine Skip Bertman hiring Bobby Boy...
just throwing out an idea........there is the potential for a coach that has passion for the game (i dare anyone to challenge me on that)........and who has coached and mentored a certain legend at duke (guess who)...........has he become another woody hayes.......maybe........don't know........but to me it's worth the chance if you really want to put this program on the map......hey, when i went to lsu (long time ago).......the didn't tail-gate at baseball games like they do today......just goes to show what can happen.........
I would rather have a mediocre LSU basketball team than to have Bob Knight coach them. Most LSU fans can't stand Knight for many reasons including the LSU vs Indiana, NCAA tourney game were Bob Knight slammed his fist on the table.
Even though I HATE BK, I agree with you somewhat, but the comment about baseball tailgating... ...what in the hell does THAT have to do with THIS thread? I cannot think of a more diametrically opposed pair than BK & Skip... ...except that they both won championships... ...you might as well compare Curly Hallman and Moe, Larry & Curly... ...wait...hold on... that ALMOST makes sense....
the......point.....is......that you can take an unemphasized sport and turn it into something special......if you establish a passion and a winning tradition.....they will come.......
