Ok, I didn't like the hire but I was willing to give Coach O the benefit of the doubt. He took over last year and turned it around. O was given Miles' machine, took the breaks off and, with the exception of two games, we saw the wonderous juggernaut that LSU could be. It was validation that firing Miles was the right decision. We curb stomped the Heisman trophy winner. crushed A&M, Arky, and Ole Miss. Things were really looking up. I can't explain what happened but the wheels have come off. I truly don't understand what has happened. I get the attrition, I get the poor recruiting, but this is Troy. I get that Bama will push us around, but this is Troy. I don't understand. But if we lose this game and Coach O loves LSU as much as he says he does, he should resign.
I agree he should step down. Accept half his buyout or some number LSU can handle. Do it for LSU, otherwise you'll be despised in Baton rouge for the remainder of your days on this earth.
Do you all think LSU is the first team to go through a rebuilding process in NCAA football history? O inherited a mess. He isn't going to turn it around overnight. Better get used for more of the same.
From a 29-9 beat down of Louisville to 37-7 pasting by Moo U and now this. He did well with what he inherited last year. What changed?
He fought like hell for his dream job. Then Aleva told him (in contractual terms) that he didn't need to try anymore because you're guaranteed a shit load of money. That's what happened. The contract should have been for no more than 2.5 million a year and no guaranteed money beyond the first year. You think he would have turned it down? Fuck no.
