Well said, Spiro. Of course I may be the only one here who is old enough to know what I'm referring to, but that's an occupational hazard for old farts.ldskule:
But you didn't like JR either. Are these not your words? >http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/45094-russell-created-unnecessary-drama.html<
The only time I was guilty of this sort of thinking: Booty starting: Put Davey in, Josh sucks. And I was soooooo right.....
Look at you doing research on ol' TC. Yep, those are my words. And I stand by them. JR was goofy and mistake prone. But that Tennessee game really was a turning point for him. He became much more confident after that, and down the stretch was an excellent QB. I can't recall anyone mentioning him as a potential #1 overall NFL pick until after that win in Knoxville. And (even though it's just silly conjecture) LSU is easily 7-0 if he stays.
Caught me!!! I thought after 35 years, everyone would think I just MADE THAT UP!!! Good catch! For you young uns, nattering naybobs of negativity came from a Sprio Agnew news conference, before he resigned as Nixon's vice president. Agnew was replaced by Gerald Ford, who became president after Nixon resigned over the Watergate scandal.
If JaMarcus would have stayed, he wouldn't currently have $60 million. Also, we would still blame HIM for everything going wrong with the Tigers' offense. I am pretty sure he didn't look back this weekend and think to himself, 'Man, I shoulda stayed.' Super athletes move on and get paid. Deal with it
I wonder if it is possible to see if it is the same people that always clamor for the back-up QB. Are the same people who once shouted for Flynn as a more cerebrial QB to replace JaMarcus the ones who are now screaming for Perrilloux based on physical ability? My guess is that it is seperate groups of people, each utterly convinced of their own unsubstantiated positions.
