Skip loves new projects and I am sure he will enjoy promoting JR all over the country. I bet he does a great job if he gets a chance.

I never realized how pissed off Bert Jones was with the LSU system back in the day.

Will Jamarcus be back??? Ask yourself ONE question.......would you stay in college to try to win a nat'l championship and maybe sacrafice an NFL future due to injury, or would you secure your and your families' future by being a 1st round NFL draftee for many, many, many millions of dollars??? I love Jamarcus, but he's a regular guy who needs to take care of business. Good luck Jamarcus.

If he returned, it would definitely be with a huge insurance policy.

I wonder what the dollar amount is the NCAA allows them to purchase?

Although he's blessed with the physical tools most of the reports I've read said an extra year of seasoning at the collegiate level would pay big dividends ala Leinart. He'd be a consensus All American QB, serious contender for the Heisman, and hopefully lead the Tigers to another :crystal:

If it's strictly a $$$ decision, he's gone. If he wants to pursue the goals I mentioned above then it's a tougher decision.

Some are "Excess coverage" plans but there are some for "Exceptional" athletes. Don't know the limit but here's a link if you're interested. It doesn't give a limit but has a lot of gen. inf. It is equated to their "Potential" future earnings.

Thanks for the link although I got a headache reading it.

Leave it to the NCAA to write it in language that only a lawyer could understand.

I've heard him mentioned as a contender for the Heisman once.
