1. I know that you have to be being sarcastic, Miles has a winning program, Shula and Zook did not.
  2. Miles is our guy. We might as well back him and the team.

We need to get a top notch OC and maybe Oline coach in the offseason.

  3. Agreed, I don't think the problem is Les. I really think it is Crowton.
  4. I can live with that.

  5. I've said it many of times, the HC is only as good as his asst's. Up grade our 2 weakest links and this is a completely different picture we are talking about.
  6. Miles is really good for our program in a number of ways. Plus, he'll stay here as long as he can. So, out of fear of us having a Zook or some other dud, let's get behind Miles.

He hired the right guys to fix our Defense and our Special Teams are as good as any.

Let's get the offense fixed and leave the Les bashing to someone else.
  7. For this to work, the new OC can't be someone whose offensive philosophy is totally opposite of Miles' philosophy.
  8. Neither coach suffered a losing season, they suffered from not meeting expectations.
  9. Not necessarily. But whomever or whatever he is, he needs to be good at utilizing a variety of talent. He must get the plays in quickly and efficiently and last but not least, his offensive style MUST have an identity.
  10. Their bodies of work don't compare Red.

    Mike Shula

    2004 6 – 6
    2005 10 -2
    2006 6 – 7
    Bowl Record 1 -2

    Ron Zook

    2002 8-5
    2003 8 -5
    2004 7 -4
    Bowl Record 0 -2

    Les Miles

    2005 11 -2
    2006 11-2
    2007 12- 2 (National Championship)
    2008 8 -5

I'm not looking it up, but I bet that Miles had better recruiting classes then they did too.
