Yeah .. Red .. but there is a big difference in being "pulled" and being "replaced". JJ got pulled, but started the very next game in every case, and by season's end, was running the majority of series. It was a catastrophy to do so. Lee was basically told ..you ain't starting, so he couldn't get in a rhythm .. .and JJ was ... well ... he was JJ .. Hot and Cold.
Hopefully this helps to clarify the issue... From Randy Rosetta's twitter feed @RandyRosetta Randy Rosetta #LSU coach Les Miles: "I told him (Jefferson) today that he (Jarrett Lee) will be our starter going forward." @RandyRosetta Randy Rosetta #LSU coach Les Miles: "Right now it's Lee's opportunity." :geauxtige
(Trivial fact) What's funny is, when faced with a similar situation he (Dinardo) acted differently. When a certain WR wearing #22 got kicked off the team for his legal mishap, he later was eligible to get back with the team late in the season. Dinardo and he came to an agreement that it was too much of a distraction to the team, the fans, and the media for him to come back and that they should part ways. So, they did. ... Anyway, even if JJ is back on the team I trust that Miles will handle his participation according to what's best for LSU. Besides, just because the charge was knocked down to simple battery, doesn't mean he's guilty as of yet. ----- Sent via Toshiba Thrive using Tapatalk
Of course he's gonna say this. No one would expect him to say anything different. However, it will be a short leash... Miles loves him some JJ.
Would'nt it be obvious to opposing defenses that if JJ enters the game in situational downs that he will be running the ball. Or worse yet...the dreaded option.:rolleye33:
This is true, we have played 74 players this year, everyone has and gets a chance to play. We pulled the Red-Shirt off 2 players this weekend. If you can help the team, you get to play.
