Are pro players less inclined to the benefits of "process" and "maximize every down" than are college players? I don't think so. Sure, he's a good coach but not THAT good. There's something else at play... and I think the answer is rather obvious.
Unless I'm mistaken no college coach who had won a national title, won a sb until jimmy Johnson. So it's not a given that success at college equals ultimate success at nfl.
He's a workaholic and expects everyone around him to be one also. He runs the program with an iron fist and intimidation. That's why he is successful. Of course, everyone around him is probably miserable, but hey, it's all about the "process".
Are you sober? I despise Bama, but I recognize Saban may go down as one of the greatest coaches in CFB history.
Man this takes a lot of denial to get to this point. You can conclude whatever you want to sleep better about that asshole but he's close to having like 8 or 9 ncs. That's insane.
To what point? I conclude that he could not have gotten to that number of championships without Alabama. And having watched Alabama football for 60+ years I know that they cheat and have always cheated. Saban wins because the deck is stacked for him... as it could not have been with the Dolphins.
Many others won national championships at Alabama. Mike Shula coached through four years of probation.
