It depends on your perspective. Total points give an edge to teams that sign 30 or more like Auburn and Tennessee. The stars-per-player ranking tells you more about the talent level:

    2007 -- 3.88 (#4) Les
    2006 -- 3.64 (#4) Les
    2005 -- 3.69 (#4) Les
    2004 -- 3.54 (#5) Nick
    2003 -- 3.68 (#2) Nick

The five classes that will be suiting up for LSU in 2007 are all top-5 in stars-per-player.

LSU has never been so loaded. Joe who?

That's right Red, and that is all that really matters to me. The overall quality of the players we've brought in at every position is mindboggling.

I agree LSU has never been so loaded and Miles is doing a fantastic job but you can't have it both ways. Pick one way to grade a class and stick with it, you can't grade one years class with one criteria and a different criteria for the next years class. Miles has done great no doubt about it but he has not had 3 top 5 classes. If he continues to recruit like he has and win ballgames he soon will. 2006 rivals #7 .....scout T#7, 2005 scout #19.....rivals #22.
