Dude, I hate to burst your bubble here---seeing as to how hard you've worked to put all this together and all---but why on earth would any of these teams voluntarily choose to take on an ***E-X-T-R-A** game that the do not have to take on...and against a top 5 team to boot? You gotta admit, it's a pretty damn valid question.
I assume you are referring to the original topic of this thread. That is a good question. I must admit, however, that playing Iowa again would be nice. I just wouldn't want to do it at the end of Oct. I don't believe they, or any decent team, would want to play us that late in the season either. Hell, if I was calling the shots at North Texas, I wouldn't reschedule our game. Sure, they collect a half a million, but at what cost. Them playing us for a season opener is one thing, but not in the middle of their conference games. I guess it boils down to how money hungry NT is. Some may argue that ULM doesn't want two off weeks back to back. By the time Oct 29th roles around, ULM will be lucky to have 10 fans in the stadium anyway. It doesn't matter.
LSU will have to fork out more money to schedule one of these teams, however, if they want to set up a home-and-home with one of them, teams will jump at it... To get LSU to come to their house is money a guarunteed sell-out...
