1. I'm not necessarily saying to do this against Bama, but why not give Bolden and/or Rivers a series or 2. What could it hurt? They couldn't play any worse then Mett did in the first half.
  2. Absolutely.

That said, he isn't alone in the reasons why this offense has sucked so bad. LSU's offense has been putrid for years under Miles. The play calling is the worst in football. The receivers have dropped a LOT of balls and they also don't block well. The offensive line has been bad although they've improved in run blocking the past two games. Pass blocking still needs a good bit of work.

However Metts problems are mental and fundimental and have nothing to do with how poor the other aspects are.
  3. I would have liked this versus some of our opposition already. Throwing them in against Bama seems unlikely to produce a miracle.

  4. I agree. The first half of today's game would have been acceptable to me to try. And of course, against some of our rent a wins, like Towson.
  5. I agree the play-calling could be better. Hard for me to really assess the WRs when the QB is completing barely more than 33% of his passes like he did today. The OLine has been problematic, but they are playing better. As for pass-blocking, Mett had plenty of time today and simply missed open receiver after open receiver after open receiver.

  6. I've got to side with Red on this call. Against the Bammers is no time to try an unproven commodity. The time to give backups some experience and a chance to show their salt, has already passed. As I stated earlier "The hay is already in the barn".

  7. Hard to give the back ups reps when you are trying to develop the starter for the meat of the schedule. I don't begrudge Miles for that, but now we live with it. Zach is going to see something in two weeks he has never really seen. How will he handle the pressure of that defense, forgetting the pressure of just the idea of the game itself.

  8. We won't see another QB (unless Mett gets hurt or in mop-up duty) this year or next year. Book it.:(
  9. I never thought I'd see a wild cat under miles, but he runs it UNDER PHUCKING CENTER AND THEN PITCHES IT>>>

    MILES!
  10. Miles is the head coach and I'll trust he knows who the better qb is, but if I'm him, I'm not even sure I would even start him in 2 weeks. For 1 it would catch Saban completely off guard, 2 it may wake Mett the fuck up, 3 you can always go back to the guy. It's a huge gamble, but I guarantee you, Saban is watching ZERO film on Rivers, or Boldin, and Boldin has played this team before.
