if my hands get cold huntin quail in LC in Nov, QBs damn sure get cold hands in Fayetteville and Lexington. yes, SEC receivers are fast, but the DBs are faster. top QBs from "ice belt" schools--bledsoe, moon, brady, mcnabb (i know, thye play indoors), steve young, ty detmer, joe montana, rothlesberger, kurt warner, marino.......
i didn't 85% of this thread, b/c i find it to be a ridiculous topic, but what it all comes down to is attention the only way to become a prospect is to stand out, or to get your name out there and there isnt a conference more watched than the SEC so if you win there, the thinking is that you can win anywhere
Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit, but a young athlete may not like being stuck there for 4/5 years unless his parents have a lot of extra money to fly you home every once in a while and pay for his entertainment/food, etc. It's really super expensive for all of those things and the university cannot supplement it.
Where were all of those players from? Seems that many of the high schools in the southeast play a style of ball that doesn't necessarily develope great passing QB's. That may not be true, but from what I've seen in Louisiana and living in Georgia for a long time I think it may be pretty accurate.
dont know where they played high school ball-although most probably stayed close to home. maybe with more blacks down south its too tempting to not develop the prototypical pocket passers. "that's racist!"
