as far as the game goes and tiger stadium moments there are moments and games that i'll never forget like LSU-AU '95, LSU-fla 97, LSU-tenn overtime, LSU-UGA game, beating bama for 1st time in 20 something years, etc. but that was near the top. it was a roller coaster the entire game and i guess what made it worse is that at no point did i feel like we were going to win without a doubt until that last pass was batted by jackson and jones.

the band playing pregame before kickoff was great and the alma mater actually got to me a little this time. battling back and forth with uf and the 7:49 point in the 3rd will be a moment that i'm glad i was there to experience. the last drive to take the lead was somethign to behold and the crowd was great the entire game. i even have to give it to the student section (sans the "f-you tebow" which is forgivable considering tebow doing the dialing thing) who was the heart and soul of death valley like they should be.

wouldn't have been able to go without OT's xtra ticket so thanks so much.

i did learn that she and i pretty much watch the game the same way, expressionless on the outside and absolutely nerveracked and apesh!% on the inside. i don't talk much during because i'm either trying to take it all in or yelling if we're on defense. basically i'm so nervous and living and dying on every play that i'm not much for conversation. thanks for putting up with me.:thumb:

If LSU is winning by more then 40 points I don't mind talking during the game, anything less takes my full attention and prayers to get them through! And one or two punches in the shoulder when I think there was a bad call! Sorry for that also!

I know, I know not really but that is what I believe!

Being going to games since i was about 5, so 20 some odd years later i can say this was the best game i've ever been to in Death Valley. Wow. It still seems surreal.

Met some cool people on the flight to the game and on the flight home ( Orlando ) and even met a few more tiger fans at the gym tonight as a small handful of us were in purple and gold. Pretty cool when you're in enemy territory.

That is hands down, no BS, spit on your neck, kick in your crotch, the saddest thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

The game was everything stated above and more. The feeling in the stadium in the fourth quarter was unbelievable. I'm by nature a "pessimistic fan" but for some reason I NEVER felt we would lose the game. I turned to by son just before half time and told him we would win the game. It was sooooooo fun after the game to stay in the stands and dance around with my wife and kids while doing the gator chomp.

Funny thing happened during the game. I have been having season tickets for some time now. However, my seats were moved two years ago and I now have four seats toghether. I have been sitting next to a guy who anyone can tell is a huge fan. I'm not the type of fan who needs to be overy "chatty" with someone sitting next to me. I, like many fans, focus on the game. Having said that, I like to know the season ticket holders around me, exchange a little lingo during the game (about the game) and a "high five" when things are good. For the entire last season and all home games this year, this guy would barely give me the time of day. Nothing offensive, he just basically ignored me. Well, thankfully, the Florida game changed that. Man this guy came alive for the game, was high fiving everyone he could reach and was calling plays from the stands etc. A small thing but that made the experience even more enjoyable. YOU CAN'T EVER MEET AND GET TO KNOW TOO MANY TIGER FANS. ITS GREAT TO BE AN LSU FAN!!! GO TIGRERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I sent my son to LSU last year, I tried to instill in him the importance of going to the games and how the team depends on the student section to be there. I told him that it was very important and that the guys depended on them for support. Well, he only went to a few games even though I'd purchased season tickets for him. I never told him I was disappointed, just that he should go to more.

Saturday night he finally got it! He's been to every home game this year but when he called me yesterday he said something that made me realize he is now a "True Tiger"! He said, "Mom, that had to be an experience I'll never forget! It was crazy! Like there was thousands of people my age, all sitting together and saying the same thing in unison. I never realized how everything worked until Saturday night. The band played the right music at just the right time, we were all chanting the same thing, together, and the team fed off of us!" He said, "I finally see what you meant, I know now how important it is and how the band, the student section, and the football team rely on each other and I'm so glad I was a part of that. I will never forget it."

I was never more proud of my son than at that moment.....he finally got it!

I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful experiences shared from the great Tiger Victory on Saturday night. Being an older Tiger living in Nashville, TN it warms the soul to read so many "from the heart" game experiences that only a true Tiger can understand. We have a great University who continues to support the football fan experience on Saturday's at LSU.

My experience was in front of the TV. Yes, it was also surreal. To have the Cocky Gators in Tiger Stadium living up to their reputation with taunts from players before and during the game made victory that much sweeter. It's almost like the stars aligned and our Tigers looked into the face of defeat and said "NOT TONIGHT", its our time, move aside Florida. No Ref was going to disallow a Hester goal line TD this year. Florida put up one of the most heroic defenses of their championship season I've ever witnessed. Our players, coaches and fans stood toe to toe with them and beat them fair and square. To do this on 5 for 5 4th downs, against Florida, on a night when it was announced USC had lost was euphoric. Yep, we not only won the game, but we defended our #1 ranking for the first time since 1959.

I hope this thread stays around for a long time. It will be nice to go back and read each fans experience on one of the most special nights in Tiger Staduim. It's good to be an LSU Tiger!!! :thumb: :geauxtige

This is divine intervention: after I relegate myself to watching it on TV, I get a ticket for $50 froma guy I had just met at the tailgate 30 minutes before. We were on the top row of the lower bowl straight up from the visitor's tunnel.

By far the loudest I have EVER heard Tiger Stadium. I would venture that we HAD to register another earthquake when that ball finally dropped in the endzone. That last Florida drive had the place literally shaking...i could feel it. Unbelievable.

    OPne for the ages.

I wore my LSU cap to work yesterday. As my SN aludes to I work the ramp for Continental Airlines in New Orleans. One particular flight as it was leaving there was a guy in the window with a Gator cap on. I looked up and saw he was looking at me so I kind of waved and he flipped me off. I had them stop the plane and I went on board, pulled him off the plane and and slapped him around until he said "Glenn Dorsey is my hero".

Not really...but there were some really unhappy faces in some of those windows yesterday. :D

And yes...there was a point where the stadium literally shook. I was wondering if the old girl was coming apart. A 757 at take-off thrust had nothing on Tiger Stadium Saturday night.
