Who would you vote #1 in your top 25 poll? http://www.latimes.com/sports/colle...eadlines-sports-coll_footb&ctrack=1&cset=true Whodda thunk! And when we talk west coast media, "dis is dem". 1.; WEST VIRGINIA (1-0); One down, 11 to go, and everything comes down to Nov. 2 against Louisville. 2; AUBURN (1-0); Washington State says $800,000 it received should pay all the heating bills this winter. 3.; TEXAS (1-0); School thinks, with a little marketing, it can make Saturday night's home game a sellout. 4.; USC (1-0); Six running backs got the ball against Arkansas but let's not get carried away just yet. 5.; OHIO STATE (1-0); Tressel also acknowledges voting Brazil No. 1 in last FIFA poll when he really voted Italy. 6; LOUISVILLE (1-0); Rankman wonders how come Michael Bush's broken leg has gotten less ink than Barbaro's. 7.; NOTRE DAME (1-0); Don Criqui and rising star Charlie Weis will handle the Penn State play-by-play. 8.; FLORIDA (1-0); Meyer just now done explaining how he could let Southern Miss score first last week. 9.; IOWA (1-0); Nice win over Montana, now get back to studying for Ohio State on Sept. 30. 10.; LSU (1-0); Coach gives team week off after learning the Pac-10 team they're hosting is not USC. They might be smarter than the geniuses at AP.
How can you be a legit #1 if the toughest game on your schedule is......Louisville???? After we wax "zona" we should be able to move up, since someone will lose in UT vs. Ohio State.... :geauxtige
WV has the most possiblity of going undefeated because it is after all the Big Easy conference. I don't think an SEC goes undefeated so Auburn is out. The winner of the UT-OSU game has a good chance of going undefeated with the edge given to UT as most plausible. The Big12 south is weak and OSU faces better football teams in the Big10.
# 25 was funny.... 25.; CALIFORNIA (0-1); Loss to Tennessee set Pac-10 versus SEC argument back about one-half century.
