I picked us to lose and not cover the 10 point spread. Wrong on both accounts. I was really impressed by our O line play today. They gave Burrow the time to run the called plays. Hell of a job by Eaux, the coordinators and the entire LSU squad in a crazy, hostile environment.
Substitute crow for chicken in my jambalaya. I also predicted a large loss, based mostly on that pitiful offensive display vs SELU. Did not have faith in Ensminger's plan, which obviously was to TCB while showing as little as possible. I had no doubt we would come out and play inspired, just didn't believe we could do enough offensively to win today. I doff my chapeau to Steve, Coach O, our o-line (who I had very little faith in before today) and of course, our defense and Mr. Tracy. This was, IMO, a foundation win; a game that should put to rest the questions brought about by some dubious losses last year. Ed Orgeron can coach in this league, folks.
Yep. Ladel me up some too. I don't post much but I thought surely LSU would be out in the wilderness for a few years after the O hire. I'd have bet my house against the proposition that we opened our season 3-0 with two wins against top ten teams away from home, particularly Auburn.
I resemble that remark ... Esp Minger! Always had a great personal dislike of Steve Ensminger forever as he was an ass-Kissr that got to play for Cholly while Supastar Dave Woodley sat the pine ... Grudges can last a lifetime ... But if Ensminger can call great plays like today we can win em all !!!
I'll add this to my thoughts on Ensminger. Playing it close to the vest (hell, inside the vest) against SELU now appears to have been a good move. But there's no reason to hide anything any more. Next week, I want to see continued development of the passing game. We need it. I'll be very disappointed if the offense we ran vs SELU is back on display vs Tech.
