I'd almost prefer to see us come out flat in the first half...Then perhaps we can be forced to make adjustments like we did last week and come out and win the thing. Even then, we still called conservative plays rather than letting JR air it out and make some plays - maybe a good strategy that ultimately won the game in OT, but anything that prevents Les and Jimbo from feeling comfortable and trying to ride out a lead is fine by me. Seems like they only unleash our talent when we're down.
The only things that worry me about the last two games is that LSU may not do what they should have been doing all along: smashing inferior opponents by wide margins of victory. *Now* is the most important time to start breaking fools off, since voters are more attunded to the top 5 teams now than at any time during the season. Guys who haven't given LSU a second glance since Tennessee are watching, so make the most of the fact that you have more games remaining (3) than three of the teams currently in the top 5 and run up the score a bit on Ole Miss, Arkansas and Georgia.
I noticed that too... it seems like we're a totally different team. I know that in those situations, it's do or die, but if we play that way all the time, we probably wouldn't be in those situations to begin with. I'm just happy we're winning, however.

I totally agree Chip. The Arky game concerns me more than Ole Miss because the Rebs are not a very good football team, and their best threat offensively in McSwain is out for this game. Arkansas has McFadden and likely will be riding a two-game winning streak coming into LSU. And, I've said for years that Houston Nutt is the Dale Brown of college football. He can motivate his team to get up sky high for one game. The Tigers need to do like they did in 2003 and just put the Hogs away before halftime.
One thing i have noticed about this team is they dont get too high or too low. I think the Tenn game in the first half was very emotional for the guys and they just didnt have any emotion left in the tank. I sort of think that is what happenned to Bama too. Momentum and emotion is a strange thing. It is hard to get momentum back when you lose it. Only the toughest mentaly strong teams can do that. On the road in the SEC it goes with the territory. If you cant win in hostile environments then you wont be National Power Material.
3 players quit for ole myth yesterday i think it was. one was a wr. not sure the other 2. maybe linemen. the fence is now open i suppose.
I am not concerned about these two games. We have the talent, all we have to do is maintain our focus on our goal, winning the SEC, and understand these two teams are obstacles in the way. They have to be beaten for us to attain our goal. If we go in unfocused and flat, we can be beaten. It is up to the coaches and the team leaders and the team themselves to ENSURE this does not happen. These are SEC opponents, AND WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR BUSINESS. Then we will win. I believe we will take care of our business. Nuff said. :geauxtige
