Don't follow you. In theory, it sounds good to shorten the game because you have a lead, but often times it just gives the other O more chances to run their offense, and leads to a change of momentum. Saban lost or nearly lost many games like this...we lost to Tenn. like this. That's why it's good in theory, but often not good to try it - unless you can run the ball with impunity.
What about a simple statement from Les something like" I made serveral coaching decision that I now regret, I apologize to my players for blaming my ignorance on them and we are now working to repair the damage and resolve the problems that have plagued us thus far in the season." Maybe it will happen on the show tonight. Our players and fans deserve and explanation for his actions and play calling!!!
I may eventually forgive him, but I will have a hard time forgetting the attempt to call a timeout when it wasn't needed. As many have said, it's the ulitimate evidence that he's in over his head. I think it's just a matter of time till he gets the heave-ho It will be either that or we will adjust our expectations to embrace mediocrity.
Did it ever occur to you that maybe...just maybe...the players did screw up once in a while? Did you see the FIVE defensive offsides penalties? For whatever reasons, a lot of the players had their head up their ass quite a bit on Monday night. I still think it's the fleur de lis on the helmets.
Yes Mr. SabanFan Yes Sir I Do agree with you Sir that the Players do screw up every once in a while. And yes sir I did see the entire game. The players did seem to have their heads up their ass and Sir maybe so did I. Can you ever forgive me for stating my opinion Sir. I hope I am worthy of replying to your most precious quotation. Forgive me If I offended the almighty Saban Fan. Hopefully God will forgive me and find me worthy to enter the pearly gates of heaven :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry:
