So do you think this was anything other than that? I mean from day one we knew this guys goal and now that he has made that decision everyone acts like the carpet was pulled from under you. Come on...not watching the bowl game? You know you will if you are a TRUE TIGER FAN!!!!

I never really felt he would stay for the long haul. I anticipated maybe another 3-4 years tops. After thinking about it the man is 52 years old so if he is going to make his mark in the "Not For Long", sooner rather than later is what he needed to do.

Granted the departure could have been handled a little differently but given the timing of his agreement and the fact that the players were scattered I think he did the best with this he could. Good luck coach...I'll forever be a fan...of you, my long time fav Dolphins, and my ALL TIME FAVORITE>>>THE FIGHTING TIGERS OF LSU!!!!

I agree Mesquite. I don't want Saban on the sidelines for the bowl game. Let's move on NOW!

We will be a much better team with our usual coach at the helm. Why disrupt that flow? I understand we may not be in the usual flow of things but it will be much better then not having Saban at all.

My heart agrees with you but my mind says let him coach, its our best chance of winning this game.
However, the new coach will have a challenge keeping players together and securing recruits.

Some of the players and recruits have to be torn, emotions involved, etc.
Not talking about diehard LSU folks of course.

I think the sooner the program moves on the better, no sense in prolonging it. It would also be a good chance to see what Fisher would do with the offense when he has total control.

Sorry, it doesn't matter what any one here wants, Nick Saban will be coaching LSU in the Cap One bowl per Skip Bertman. I am an LSU fan. LSU is playing a bowl game on January 1st. I will watch the game and cheer my heart out for my beloved Tigers as most of you all will too. :geaux:

Not flaming you friend, but how could the flow get any more disrupted ?
I almost feel like sitting the bowl game out also. I won't because I love LSU, I just wish I could get this feeling in my stomache to go away .......

Because I think Saban will continue what he has done in preparing us for this game. We may not have the exact same attitude knowing he is going but the players will continue to do what they usually do before the games.

Without Saban all of that changes with someone else in charge.
