Tax breaks create jobs that create money for the jobless to pay taxes which increases the money to the government to run the government and to pay off debt.
A private company will make a bid to repair that bridge. Then they will charge a buck fifty in perpetuity to cross that bridge.
I know a guy who has a civil service job with the state. Not sure what he does but he probably doesn't know either. He got mad when I told him that if no state employees showed up for a month nobody would notice.
