LSU is loaded with young talent on D. Simon showed a lot of potential, as did Reid. We already know what Mathieu can do. Look out the next few years, LSU will have a scary D. If we can get the O to match, wow!
Not great but we can work with it for the time being. Shaw did a great job in relief and Williford actually replaced T-Bob during the game because we needed a bigger body in there and it worked. We could be in trouble if we have anymore injuries. However, I am hearing that Blackwell has healed up way faster than expected and is actually getting some work in. Doesn't mean we will play him but maybe an outside shot of getting some help in case of emergency.
I was sure the injuries that we had during the game were going to be a factor, but the backups came in and looked ready. Well done coaches! And the future looks good! A huge get well soon to the injuried.
Brandon Taylor is out for the year. Hurst and Claiborne being monitored. Hurst not likely for this weekend according to what Miles said.
Only thing I have found so far: --SS Brandon Taylor sustained a foot injury midway through the first quarter and did not return. --CB Morris Claiborne went out in the third quarter after getting hit in his knee with a helmet. --RT Alex Hurst injured his leg in the first quarter and sat out the rest of the game.
I really hate that for Brandon Taylor and this may sound a little insensitive, but I honestly believe that Reid is an upgrade.
Hope the guys heal up fast, but I will say the backups showed up and were ready to play. That is as good as it gets. Geaux Tigers.
He will be in time, he has tremendous upside, but right now he still makes some freshman mistakes, too. And we're facing two of the best quarterbacks in the SEC soon. Reid is going to get tried.
