I would say Jabari's improvement has been significant since he LEFT LSU!

this has been discussed to death here before. some guys improve (dupree, ctIII, stro) and some dont (bright, hud, beshara, jwilliams)

do enough progress as they should under a good coach/es or program? i'd say no. some progress will/should happen regardless of the coach, just because of pt and some progress more because of coaching. i think its hard to tell the difference. but i dont know if there is a player that if given significant pt will not improve.

i think minor and bass have improved markedly from last year. davis has improved just within this season.

my point is--i dont see how someone can say that players havent improved under brady, but that doesnt mean they shouldnt improve more or that brady is responsible for the improvement

agree with your point yet I have seen quite a few players actually regress. bright and hudson come to mind. bright shoulda been a star yet by the time he left he was sapped of any previous confidence and was scared to shoot. He was an excellent shooter caught in a point guard project which was a mistake.

bass and davis will improve because they are both that talented. its the non-nba players who have to improve but they need playing time. the bench plus the starting role players.

I think Bright's troubles were mostly related to him having to play point guard. That really was never his true position. Due to the circumstances of limited options as far as personell though, he was basically the only one that could play point.

    good point.

lazare and neltner would be much better with more pt. i wish he'd play them more, if for no other reason than to develop them for next year. maybe he knows something we dont and isnt worried about next year--if you catch my drift.

yes thats why i mentioned it because it was a contributor to his less shooting yet brady's emphasis on defense (nothing like this year or any of his previous teams) and having to move the ball around, I know you can remember the players overly hesitant to take a shot. Ive never seen so many shot clocks expire in college with one team. Bright would only shoot when the clock was close to 0 and usually make it. He was far underutilized and I still feel sorry for the kid to this day.

Will tack ever improve or is this kid just too far gone? I say the latter based on what Ive seen.

interesting discussion here... Jabari wouldn't have played in the NBA had he not improved once he got to LSU.. Problem with Torris was he couldn't guard a folding chair. He would get 10 and give up 20.

Questioning our coaching situation is always good for discussion. I offer this thought?? Which schools in the SEC are the coach's not on the hot seat this year?

    SEC WEST

Jeff Lebo- First year honeymoon and Auburn could care less about basketball. Heard Charles Barkley say Auburn would "NEVER" be a good basketball team here in town recently.

Rich Stansbury- Has player of the year Roberts.. had he gone pro... questions of his coaching ability would have been raised.

Mark Gotfried- Fans here were ready to fire him last year at this point in the season.. Fans hot and cold.. especially after 30 point tromping from Fla. Has no depth to advance very far in the tourney especially if he meets a big ten team that will push his week frontcourt around

Rob Evans- Big time on hot seat

Arkansas- All are wanting Nolan Back...

    SEC EAST

Kentucky- Fans have never liked Tubby and Tubby has never liked the fans. Most unhappy guy in the world making 1.5 million a year.

Fla- Vitalis man is beginning to feel the pressure from the gators...

USC- Dave Odom got a reprieve in last nights upset

Vandy- Were ready to fire stallings year before last.. had a good year, now everyone is ready to fire him again

Tenn- Buzz Peterson was the hottest coach in the bizness 3 years ago... Ready to send him packing in big orange country

Georgia- Felton is on probation and team sucks... Wow does that sound familiar.. with much less sanctions than we had.

    Just food for thought.

i think he has, and so i think he will continue to do so

did you realize, he was our leading scorer the last two games?

in general, his t.o.s are down and assists up.

    he rebounds well

Minor still plays out of control. He leads the SEC in assists, but is 10th in assists/turnover ratio ... way too many turnovers for a point guard. And Minor contributes very little on defense.

If he's not scoring, he's not much help to the team...
