interesting thought on corporate deregulation

    you would think that, but people still favor forcing employers to do all sort of things. just this week on bill maher's show he whined about raising minimum wage to grand applause. he argues that americans would work in these jobs that illegal aliens take now, if only the wages were higher. the actual result is those jobs would just leave america entirely.

    also higher minimum wages would just increase the amount of hiring of illegals and paying them under the table, because of how much cheaper they would be than hiring americans.

    forcing the collective will on people always has unintended consequences. often the opposite of the desired effect. but maybe not, because the aim of the laws is mostly to make idiots feel good about themselves for passing rules they think make things better. people are far more about making themselves feel better than making the world better.

    you arent kidding. she makes me look like karl marx.

    If someone ever doubts the effectiveness of the free market, or whines about the inefficiencies & evils of it - just point to Europe.

    Is the system perfect? No. Can the government make it perfect? Hell no. Europe is a great example of what happens when they try.
