Games in Columbus suck.... you gotta park so far from the stadium. Georgia is a great setting... as is Clemson. In the Big Ten I would say Wisconsin is the best because of all the bars and beer gardens just off the stadium area... and the Wissies know how to party.
I didn't know this thing existed... but Baton Rouge got that "award" last year... so of course they won't give it to us again... And Hawker... Columbus won it the year before! :hihi:
Sporting News always does this..They also do the yearly "best sports city" award. STL got it in 00 I believe
In 2005, the best place for an opposing team to get its a$$ kicked will be Tiger Stadium, and that my friend makes Baton Rouge the WORST college football town for the rest of the SEC! :hihi:
I was on High Street in Columbus last Friday night... at Martini's, also went over to Brother's... no great shakes, unless you're into run-down buildings or like to wear a "zero" on your cap.:hihi:
Athens, Georgia...That places is awesome...I love Baton Rouge and Tiger Stadium is, obviously, my number one...BUT...Athens is such an awesome place..
I was on High Street the last week. Fun place but as for Gameday, making the 2 mile trek from High Street to the stadium isn't that great. I think Baton Rouge didn't make the list because everyone tailgates for the games so we kind of make our own college town in the parking lots, grass lots, etc...Tiger Stadium is like city hall.
