I guess we should all just say that LSU sucks and make the whiners feel better. OK, we suck, Bama will expose us for the posers that we really are. The true powers are the 4 teams ahead of us and the 112 ranked below us. Hell, Franchione could win with this talent. Look at what he did with the team that was supposed to challenge Texas for the Big 12 this year. Shoot, why couldn't we get Ferentz from Iowa? He had his team in every top 10 preseason ranking. Now, there's a coach who's getting the most out of his talent. Maybe Bob Stoops could come over here and get the most out of this talent. Look at the heights he's taken OU to with all of those HS all americas. How about Rickey Bustle. Only took him 5 years to finally win 3 in a row in the worst conference in the history of Div 1. Man why did we get stuck with Miles?
I don't agree with the idea that we don't have as much talent as everyone thought. I do think that the talent is still raw raw raw. Talented receivers aren't enough, they have to be able to play the position as well. We are lacking on the field leadership, but the one area that is our weakness is our passing game. The defense plays well enough to win, the special teams is pretty exceptional. We can't run like we would with Broussard but Addai is good and the O-line is strong. I agree with the idea that if we put everything together there would be no better team in the nation. Hopefully Les Miles can keep the cupboard stocked. I am not calling for Miles' head, but I am calling out our offense, especially the passing game. Passing game, you are holding up this team from being great. I am not saying that LSU shouldn't be ranked #5, I am saying we aren't playing like the #5 team. I am proud that we've been able to grind out wins, but grinding out wins will never produce an exceptional team. It seems most of you are saying with the way the team is playing we should feel grateful to be 7-1. I agree with that. And you're saying we're better off than most of the 80's. I agree with that. I'm disappointed we aren't doing better. How many close games did Dinardo lose and think how far from that are we this season? A couple of bounces and things look alot different this year (and last year). If we had offensive execution we wouldn't be cutting it as close.
LSU is the most talented team in the SEC and one of the most talented in the nation. All teams have talent but we are stacked. The coaches still have to form that talent, but we are pretty superior physically. Not that the good teams in the SEC are that far behind us. One question that just occured to me: If USC had our offensive players and we had theirs, which team would have the better offense? I'm willing to put money down that USC would still have the better offense.
LOL. You don't listen so good. Take what you think I'm saying and run with it, it's much more dramatic when you make up what I'm saying too.
You guys know how a young girl would sometimes put paper or tissue in her bra to look good? On paper you guys are STACKED. Time now to get on stage and "be proud of what ya got"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
