That was the early 60’s and what I remember is the stories about the strippers with silicone implants. I believe Carol Doda has 60” bust. That and getting to Candlestick Park to watch Willie Mays and the Giants....including seeing tem play the hated Dodgers with Sandy Koufax. Finally I got to go to 49ers games at Kezar stadium even saw the legend Johnny Unitas. At 12 and 13 politics was no on my mind

I'm the opposite when it comes to choices of where to live. I was born in Bogalusa, moved to baton rouge, then to Wichita Falls Texas. Wichita Falls certainly had a great quality of life in many respects, but I could not wait to get back to Louisiana. We moved back to Mandeville and I finally settled back home in Bogalusa. Could not be happier.
i dont see much of a difference between places in the US. i have lived in south carolina, then baton rouge, then NYC for 17 years, then baton rouge again (plus visited 75 countries). there are trade-offs and generally the bigger a city is the better, but baton rouge is fine. no desire to move to texas.
