Ok, and that was in 2005 lol... LSU came to BD in 2009, and lost...

And we came to BD and won in 2007, 2005, 2003, and 2001 before that...

100000000 different factors come into play in those years before... New coach, new stadium, blah blah blah...

    Wow... thats pretty disrespectful.

About the crowd noise... I was at the Oregon game this year, and it was almost like a home game. Although because of the dome configuration, Oregon fans were able to make some noise, but nothing like tiger fans.

I went to the Tennessee game this year and crowd noise was hardly an issue. They had conceded the game before it started. I could remember once during the game that the crowd got pretty loud in the 2nd quarter, when Tenn looked like they were still in it. I remember thinking to myself "this is how it should be from the start". Great fans btw.

Did not make Starkville this year. so I cannot speak to that.

I have been to many games at BD as I live in Birmingham now, including LSUs. At times they can get very loud, especially at the beginning of the auburn game. It reminds me of tiger stadium, but the intensity doesn't hold up like it does in BR. Having said that, I think this game will be different. They will be "all in" this game for obvious reasons, and I think crowd noise could certainly be a factor. But LSU seems to thrive in this environment, and LSU tends to play "lights out" coming off a bye week, which is a tribute to Les Miles. Cant wait for this one!!!

You can thank the refs for that....not the noise.

i do agree that this will be the loudest BD will be because of the importance of this game.

    Sorry, we'll make that call.

Let me repeat . . . BDS crowd noise has NEVER been a factor.

It always does in big stadiums. It may have affected our "ho-hum" start vs Tenn, but, I like the calmness of Lee this season. I also like his pre-snap reads and adjustments.

This is one unsung area of his game that has REALLY been great, if not spectacular.

The ONE area of "crowd noise" that I worry about is if/when Miles decides to sub in JJ, etc. Middle of a drive in close games is NOT optimal for a QB switch. Especially down in the redzone where Miles has had the habbit of putting JJ in the game. It's THOSE substitutions that USUALLY plague us with delay of game, false starts, or simple player confussion. And we HAVE to avoid that.

    We've got to be smart.
