Broussard and Vincent both carry well when there is a hole. Our offensive line is tremendous in pass protection, Russell had all day to throw. But they haven't show much of a run-blocking capability this season. Auburn is a fine defense, but we haven't blown open holes against ULL or Arizona either. Stacy Searles has his work cut out for him. He has to get these linemen blocking runs better. Yes, Charles Scott and possibly Keiland Williams are fast power backs that we need to get into the game. But the coaches are being smart about it. These true freshmen have to know the plays, not just their runs, but also run pass blocking, picking up the blitz, and catching passes on outs and screens. These things take a while and as they master these skills the freshmen will see more playing time. Throwing green freshmen into an important road game against a stout defense like this would have been risking a lot.
Amazing. You actually imagine that you know what the coaches gameplan is, the effect of his "ego", what tactics he employed, and how he interacted with his assistants during the game. Sure, pal, . . . we believe you . . . absolutely.
