This is the same offense that couldn't score a TD against one of the worst defenses in the SEC, Arkansas.

Corso did not say anything that wasn't true for the last few games. It is up to the defense to get out there and prove it wrong now.

The D only looked dominant early in the season because we were playing high schoolish offenses. We faced a lesser QB in many of them, and the teams made permanent switches at QB during our game, and they are all better outfits now, but still not great.

Top flight offenses CAN move against LSU. We have quality players, and we can rise for a a big play when we need it and get the other team off the field, but we don't have a dominant defense this year, and we don't belong in the "best defenses of all time" category either.

Fla., Ky, and Auburn all moved steadily on us. Against good teams, that's where we are.

Now is our offense can sustain drives and eat clock, that can help keep the defensive stats looking good, because the other teams offense is kept of the field.

Maybe we miss Charles Alexander more than we thought, and there's a bigger drop off from him to Favorite than we expected.

Our defense is good. It's just not fantastic like we thought it was.

It's the SEC. Teams are known for playing their hearts out. Cox was playing like a man posessed and Lester might well be the most underrated back in the SEC.

I think LSU hasn't stopped the opponent in the redzone 18 straight times now. It was 15 straight times going into the game. It's something we need to improve on quickly.

Well, if these stats are correct, Corse would be wrong.
because, there's no WAY we can give up 11td's and 5 fg's in 15 trips!

Ok, I will help you guys out here because you don't get it!
    Plain and simple terms...

You should notice on Game Day that they are also in the entertainment business, its all about ratings and controversy just like college football.
I've noticed many times that either Corso or Herbstreit says something from time to time that is controversial, sometimes they even alternate weeks.
I've also noticed if neither one do it then it is usually Lou Holtz or Mark May that will do it.
Remember Trev Alberts, its entertainment my friends.
I think Chris Fowler is the only straight shooter.

I will say this, Lee Corso DID point out how bad our red zone defense is, there is some truth in this but our defense is far from a fraud because we beat some pretty good teams this year.

I don't understand why anyone should be getting upset that our defense is being called "a fraud" or "over-rated" because quite frankly, we've played like crap at worst, and very mediocre at best the past 4 weeks.

Look, just because our defense was the talk of the nation to start the season, doesn't mean that people can't back-track and redefine our defense later on in the season when they're playing awful.
