To answer your question, HELL NO! Band wagon fans suck. I was offended by an apparent true tiger fan durring the game and I just laughed. I got up 30 seconds before half time with my wife to beat the crowd to get a drink and the guy said, "Where are you going, It aint over yet!" I just had to laugh, I said I will be here till the end you can bet on it and I know these tigers will never give up. What a game. A rockin game. I have finally made my wife an official tiger fan, when i saw the tears down her face, I said here it is she finally gets it. Whooohooooooooooo! Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will always be a tiger fan win or lose. I was at ever game when they went through curly days and archer days. I know what it is like to lose. I don't like band wagon fans, they just don't get it. Fans who have been there durring hard times appreciate a win so much more. We deserve it!
I have to admit, I was very concerned when we missed the second FG, but I never gave up. Also, it was probably a good thing I wasn't at the game, because I yelled a lot of mean and nasty things at Colt David (via the TV screen).
Glad you said that.... I bet those people who leave early to "beat traffic" were kicking themselves for leaving. That is only a viable excuse if you are 175 years old. :thumb:
I was worried a little til we came out in the second half and drove down to get a td. I knew then we would win some how some way. No one else comes this close the rest of the year.
It is not wrong to rag another Tiger fan but do it in the proper way. It is not right to ever doubt the LSU Tigers. (especially this year)
Hmmmm,I did something similar to the guy behind me.Section 635,the guy kept saying bad things too, kept getting louder and louder, then I turned to him and said and I quote"do not ever say anything like that about our team again,we pay our dues to get in here and cheer for our team and this kind of B.S. is not allowed in this section period!"Well seems that alot of other people in our section were feeling the same way cause when they heard me light into him, they piled on and that was that.He was a "true" tiger fan after that.I see nothing wrong with policing our own if it is deserved.
I was concerned at that point, too. Not because we weren't catching up but because I was worried that we might have to count on a field goal at the end to win or tie. I hope he gets the hang of kicking those things.
looking around the stadium, not too many left early to beat traffic. another note about this. i forgot what section i sat in but there was this guy who was about 10 rows in front of us. whenever something bad would happen he was the biggest cheerleader in our section. it was awesome watching him. after the game he was still going strong. because of the wait to get out of our section he said something to the effect of "i've never experienced anything like this ever." come to find out it was his first LSU game. he had only been to stanford games before, being he was a student at stanford. and i thought i had a good night... anyway i thanked him and told him he was great for keeping everyone pumped even in bad times. i thought that was a neat storyline. he had on a purple hawaiian shirt so all game i just figured he was an LSU fan. i guess he is one now.
