I'm not sure what it is either... but I think the best way to get him over it is to throw to him on big down situations. He comes down with 1 or 2 big catches and he'll forget all about those drops and he'll tear up some D in the process.
Big down situations, yes.. Big down situations when you're down by 10? Na... Gotta think of the whole team in that situation, it's not about him. Of course I'm exactly what one would call a coach.
Well I may agree on some things but since their doing something I haven't done in numerous years... and their #3 in the nation in doing it... all i can do is back my team 100% and watch him break it open in 2 weeks. It's not easy rooting for Louisiana teams every year... but atleast we've been able to brag about LSU football the last several years.
Agreed... the close ones drive me nuts, but darn if I didn't get my money's worth outa them tickets over the years. I live for LSU football season... best time of the year.
Not so fast my friend. I've been saying for weeks to give the kid a break. Several of our best WRs have had terrible sophomore years. I will say again, he will be a 1st round pick when his career is over here. He's got all the tools, he just needs to work on his hands.
IMO, Lafell started with trying to do to much ... running with the ball before he caught it, trying as a sophomore and first time starter with Doucet out to be the go to guy. That and he's looking for the hit before he catches it as well. Then, with all the drops, he now has a mental problem. As stated previously, the only way to fight through this is to keep throwing him the ball. Just not against Bama ... wait for La Tech.
