Is losing to LSU in a bowl a death sentence?

I really don't know the stats, but it seems that the Illinois, Miami, ND, and Ohio St programs all fell off the board after being dominated by LSU in bowl games.

    Any comments?

They were all on the decline before LSU came along. Probably didn't help their causes though. You forgot a&m and GT also.

Wow! If losing to lsu in a bowl game destroys teams maybe we should change our mind about bama in the championship game. We know we can't lose in Nola! Maybe beating bama in the bcscg will knock them off their high horse for a few years.

We want Bama to stay strong. A team/program will remain only as strong as they need to be to defeat their greatest rival. Bama makes LSU better.

You are most certainly NOT crazy, locoguano. I agree wholeheartedly.

I wish to see Auburn, GA, FL and AR strong, too. That way we - the SEC - could be represented nearly every year because no one team will be strong year in and year out. When we are down we need a representative from "The Dirty South".

This is correct. Tough competition serves to make us better.

OSU didn't really fall off of the map until this year.
