everyone else plays much more freely without Glen for some reason, but without question if they can find a way to play that way with him in there, we would be much better

I think we play better without him because we spread the ball around more.

That's probaobyl true but it means nothing if no one else is hitting anything. Everyone was on fire today. we would have played with that same fire and passion if GD was in there.

I think each player is saying to himself, "alright, I've got to step up my game with Glen out"....so, yes, that's a positive.

But I just hope that this season's disappointment get's Glen to realize that he still has some work to do before going pro and decides to return again next year.

This team relied too much on Davis this year, IMO and it bit them right in the arse. And as for Davis, as much as it looks nice to get all of those double-doubles, I find he struggled against, to put it mildly, "so-so" post players--players no where NEAR the talent level of NBA forwards. So I believe more so NOW, than I did a year ago, that Glen Davis SHOULD come back to LSU again.

The team can play without Davis for a big game or two, but they are obviously better with him in the long run. We didn't beat Florida because the team played better without Davis, but because Florida had a major bad day on the road.

And if Bass and Thomas hadn't gone pro early, Brady would be playing three good big men under the basket. But he has to work with what he's got and what he doesn't have is an aircraft carrier center or a point guard.

I'd imagine Davis's draft stock has taken a real hit this year. I see no reason for him to not return now, especially if he has fallen out of the first round.

Not going to get into the go or no go discussion until after the season, but I will throw this out there. Glen has been smart about his college time, unlike Brandon Bass. Remember b/c he's never tested the NBA market, he still has his "trial" test the market year. He is likely to go ahead and try the NBA draft waters this junior year, which gives him the option of returning even after going to the camps and stuff if he doesn't think he'll be drafted high enough. I believe he wants to be a high first rounder, and because he's hurt and may not get that NCAA tourney run to showcase himself, he's probably a late first rounder this year at best.
