While I think Leak was the best QB in the SEC last year, I never thought he would be much of an NFL quarterback. From a physical aspect, he still looks like a high schooler. He will never make it getting hit on Sundays.

The SEC quartebacks with the most NFL upside other than Jamarcus is Croyle and Cutler.

I also think that Leak feels like he is stuck running an offense that will lessen his chances of becoming an NFL QB.

The Florida O-line doesn't currently have the talent to run the system effectively against the better SEC defences, like Alabama and LSU.

Leak has got to know that he is in jeapordy of being badly injured.

Hell yes his offense is hurting Leak. It's not just a matter of Leak not fitting the offense, but Meyer's scheme lets the QB get beaten up too much, and in the SEC, you are going to pay for that.

I've always said I thought Leak was overrated. He was a decent QB, who put up some nice numbers but often seemed to faulter under pressure like the rest of his team.

I watched the replay when I got home from the game and Fla's OC was tearing into that guy pretty hard. He was pissed about something.

1.) Leak does not like getting hit. Not that any QB does. So he is letting go of the ball much to early for that offense to work.

2.) In the SEC you can not let your QB get hit on every play.

3.) As the announcers pointed out Leak has been hit so much even in pass plays he is not standing in the pocket long enough before taking out running.

4.) Dont forget that LSU has a very quick defense and give them some credit for making him look bad.

5.) Offense of Fla. must run the ball better. Sets up passing game.

Is Meyer's offense hurting Leak? Yes... he is a pocket passer who can scramble... he is not an option guy.. its like putting aaron brooks into a spot where you need a michael vick...

Is Leak hurting Meyer's offense? yes again. He is not suitied for the option... simple as that.. you need either a physically imposing guy like Roethlisberger, or a RB type guy like Marcus Randall... Randall would have done great in Meyer's offense... Leak is slight of build and while his top end isnt bad, he doesnt have a quick burst and certainly can't outrun SEC LB's... look at the two guys who committed to LSU today... both run the 40 in the 4.5's....

Gonna get killed here. BUT- As I saw it, Leak had at least two receivers that would have scored if he had thrown the ball anywhere close to them. I'm talking about on the LSU side of the field. He just missed them big time. Not the coaches fault. But "IF" we are going to talk "IF-BALL", then your qb would have had one hell of a better game.(take away his screw ups) Then you win by three tds. Actually, I think Leak is hurting Meyer's offense.

It may be oscar's offense- but it mostly everybody else's defense that is hurting Leak.
