Miles is too conservative for me. As my pal Lee pointed out w/only a 15 point margin of victory b/4 the bowl game over all teams is pathetic. Top 5 teams blow other teams out of the water. We need to open it up this year. If out of shape Russ can't do it then snatch him out and put in Flynn. Winning by 1,2 or 3 is not good enough. You want to be mentioned w/the best then you need to score like the best.

I don't want LSU to be mentioned with the best, just want to them to be one of the best. I'll take a top fives over and over again.

I guess Miles saying that JR is in the best shape of his career has no bearing on what you think.

As I sat there and watched the Tenn game, I could not believe my eyes. What happened in the second 1/2? CRAMPS!!! The way you prevent cramps is long before the game. You have to drink tons of liquid days before the game. From what I have heard, there were so many people on campus and so many people living w/players there was no way that they could prepare properly for the game. The hurricanes hurt the team mentally and physically. My hat goes off to the players and coaches for what they were able to accomplish. That they played for the state of LA really made we proud.

There are a number of criteria as to whether or not a coach is a gameday coach. Certainly the ability to have his team play on a given day and the ability to make adjustments are important. Whether or not he chews out his players on the sideline is of absolutely no importance whatsoever.

Maybeso. I am not sure. I know that Saban was a great halftime coach. One of the keys to his success was his incredible ability to make adjustments at halftime. If CLM can do as well as Saban then he will have no problems at LSU. I hope he can.

I don't remember Saban making halftime adjustments very often... thinking of the Ole Miss game, Virginia Tech game... I'll go back and look.

[EDIT] I guess Saban made defensive adjustments - I guess I was thinking more offensively.
