It's something LSU has embraced. All the recruits do it. So Jimmy doing it actually is on brand reinforcement. Joe's brother Jamie has said if any of the Burrow brothers kids play ball that LSU has been so amazing they'd gladly send them to LSU as they would Nebraska. Pretty cool stuff.
This is up there with the Auburn home game in 07 with the last second TD pass preventing us from having to try a very nervous game winning kick. The fake FG for a TD vs Florida at their place (2010) that bounced on the ground and miraculously fed into the kickers stomach on the dead run. Then the game winning fade pass on 3rd down from the 3 yard line with only 6 seconds left to win it.
It’s a moment like Mauck’s 48 yards TD pass to Skylar Green to beat Georgia in Tiger Stadium in 2003. Making plays like this are necessary to winning championships.
