They do not belong in this football conference. Not only do they bring down SOS, they hurt season tickets. Vandy on a home schedule is like a rent-a-win team. No one wants to pay for season tickets for three bad nonconference teams, two bad teams from MS (now that Eli is gone), a decimated Alabama, and consistently bad Vandy. They definitely need to get a top 10 type team to vill the vacancy if they are going to raise prices next year. The home schedule stinks. We should be competing for a National Championship next year so maybe the hype will sell season tickets despite the schedule and price increase.

Vandy has been bad for as long as I remember and there are plenty of teams that would upgrade our conference. We probably can't get Fl. State, Miami, NC, NC State, TX, or TX A&M, but what about West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, TCU, Southern Miss, Louisville, or Marshall.

    Alabama
    Ole Miss
    Mississippi St.
    Vanderbilt
    Troy State
    Houston
    TBA

Now that Southern Miss is the largest college in Mississippi I would love to see them in the SEC. Can you imagine the rivalry games stemming from a state with 3 teams in the SEC? USM is only 1.5 hrs from New Orleans, and a very large percentage of the students are from La.
