I don't remember if he pitched in the final or not. If I can locate a VCR, I have a couple of games from that series on VHS.

well i remember we hammered beau hale from texas game 1. he was that bigtime ace.

then we drilled mark prior from USuCk like the rented cub that he is.

game 3? florida state? no clue who they pitched.

weylin and gomez pitched somewhere in games 1-3.

game 4 was all tallet til the 5th then hodges shut them down completely.

someone here should have a better memory. i just remember nodding off in the stands during the final game b/c it was so boring....until the blair barbier at-bat. i was sure we had lost. that dude was mowing us down til the dumb stanford coach mark marquess made the switch for no reason.

justin wayne and jason young were their two aces. i forget which one was unhittable then pulled for the other who got lit up like he was nothing.

joe borchard was that ugly sob outfielder that was also the stanford qb.

I remember Hunter Gomez having a little hop-jump delivery.

It was actually a balk everytime he delivered the ball because his foot was not on the mound when the ball was released.

I don't think any umpire would have the balls to call it every pitch because Gomez would have to be taken out.
