1. I doubt Pelini would leave LSU for Cinci. Its a solid program, but not championship material. Pelini will only leave for a more prominent program.
  2. Michigan State is far from championship material, but he was interested. You have to start somewhere.

Most assistant coaches aren't as lucky as a Richt or Stoops. Most have to start at smaller schools.
  3. I think Pelini will stay for the Tigers National Championship year which would make him a greater target as a HC the next year. I hope that JR and Dorsey do the same.
  4. Mich St is in the Big Ten though, and more established than Cinci. I dont see him leaving just yet. If Pelini were to leave, I wonder if Muschamp would consider coming back? Muschamp is tailor made for the athletes at LSU.
  5. I could see Jimbo leaving for cincy...wasnt he the off cordinator there at one point?
  6. Yes, he was there for a year in 1999.
  7. I would love to see Pellini stay to help us get that NC next season, but I still think we need a new OC in order to get that national championship. So Fisher leaving would not be a bad thing at all.
  8. all 3 are gone, 2 of 3 almost a guarantee but more than likely all 3.

the future success/failure of LSU football will be heavily dependent on these 2 hires.
  9. islstl, you dont think having a new coach at the OC will hurt our chances next year? IMO, I would be worried that the players would have to learn a new system or modified system. I dont think I would want to take that chance, if we had a choice. But Les could take over the play calling duties for a year while the new OC adjusted.

    What you think?
  10. Well who called the plays at OSU? Is it the current head coach at OSU?

Or did Les call the plays?

I assume Les is conservative by nature from what I have heard, and definitely by some of the decisions on the field in tough tight situations.
