Did ya'll know that we were going to fake the FG before they even executed it? I did. You could tell by their mannerisms and actions of CLM and the players that they were up to something (they were in each other's ears and whatnot). Among others, Jasper made it kinda obvious. Just an observation. Glad it worked.:miles:
I actually called it before it happened because it seemed pretty obvious..at least to an LSU fan :miles: When the Coach whispered into his ears right before, I knew it. Why else would a coach need to whisper something into the kickers ears right before a kick? I'm just glad it worked out...and we got that lucky bounce. I'm getting stressed out just thinking about it. :geaux:
Took me by complete surprise. I thought Jasper would nail the kick as long as it wasn't blocked. When I saw Les whispering in a lineman's ear I figured he was making sure they held the line and allowed the kick to get off. I had no idea what was in store, and obviously neither did Florida.
I actually thought it would be a fake at first, but once the time out came, I didn't have ANY expectation of a fake.
Faking was a dumb call really. Going for it was smart, but dude, just line up and run a play. But hell, it worked, so cant complain.
I watched the replay with the Gator announcers down here on Sun Sports network, and they were calling it immediately as soon as we lined up the first time.
Me too. And then I think we would've lost. At their place, you go for the win...not the tie. LSU isn't exactly stellar in these OT games.
