This would have happened anyway if Jefferson had gone down with an injury or failed to produce once again. I think that Lee knows this or he would be gone. We play in a rough leagues and quarterbacks go down. He knew that he would get a shot and now he must deliver it. Job one is to take charge and show some senior quarterback leadership.
Positive spin... There won't be a quarterback controversy unless Lee is completely horrible. I don't see Mett seeing the feel except in mop up.
I beleive with Lee in, our running game will be lights out. No longer can they just stack the box and assume we won't throw the ball. I say Lee comes out swingin against the quackers and lights em up!!
With their top cornerback being out it should be significantly easier. Not sure on the depth of the secondary position for the ducks but I would guess it's not stacked. I expect the ducks D to blitz early and often if they watch gameplay on JL and then see Coach Stud react and call some draws, screens and short,quick passes to counteract this and get JL comfortable.
