Oh, he can coach; however, he doesn't coach well. He is coaching against Pro-coaches and doesn't make the adjustments needed for his team to compete. He's been lucky the last few years.
I feel sorry for Titan and Chuck and some of the friendly Auburn regulars here. Its got to be tough. I have no sympathy for a couple of thousand Barners on their own boards. All summer long its been National Championship talk -- and they can't score a touchdown in two games. All summer long its been talk about them having the four best running backs in the league -- and they can't average 50 yards a game. I said this before and got BLASTED by them. Tubby can coach but at a medicore level. He can win 7-8-9 games but will never get them to the 10-11-12 win level that they want.
Tubby got flat outcoached by Chan Gailey. Now I hope Auburn keeps this up for when we play them in October.
