The window keeps closing on you upstanding fans. First it was, "He won a National Championship". Then it went to comparing wins/loses to Saban's first three years, coupled with "Never lost an OOC game". Now it's "Never lost a regular season OOC game" and overall record, despite his record vs. SEC teams in the last two years is 8 & 8. Yippee kye ya. I'm cautiously optimistic that we can have a great season this year but to ignore that would be foolish.
Actually, it was 3-5, then 5-3. If people can't use Miles' entire record at LSU to "pump sunshine", then the same applies to the negatigers combining those two year's SEC record. To combine the two is also foolish...especially considering the 2nd of those two years was a 2 game improvement. That's why certain people combine them. 5-3 ain't that bad, so they have to use the old 8-8 in the last two years argument. Would you do that if LSU went from 1-7 to 7-1 in two years? Would you combine the two to discredit the improvement?
That's not 8 & 8? But are you saying him losing more SEC games in last two years than he did in first THREE is not something to be concerned with?
It is 8-8. It would be 8-8 if it was 1-7, then 7-1. Just saying, it's funny how people that want to express the downside combine the two years...but don't like it when people that want to express the upside wanna show his overall record at LSU. Do you not get this? Just say 3-5 SUCKED...and 5-3 was improvement. That's the truth.
The 3-5 record concerned me DEEPLY. The 5-3 IMPROVEMENT tempered my concern, and offered hope. You should try seperating the two years...might make you feel better.
