There is not one major NCAA football team that would've seriously considered Ed Orgeron as its head coach. LSU was bidding against nobody, and still put a damn buyout clause in his contract. Great recruiter. Good unit coach. Unqualified to be the head man at a school that aspires to be a contender.
He already did. You should do a better job at analyzing what he has said and short of a pretty shitty opinion on where to get a bean buritto, he has yet to share an opinion on how it relates to the future for the coach that has the job. He did an excellent job at pointing out facts about how he is not the best qualified coach to be hired for one of the premire programs in the country which, is a completely different mindset of those who are wait and see how the hire goes. His opinion has been nothing but hope that it does in fact, work out. Perhaps I see that more clearly because I've known the dude for a good while, but he has yet to tell a lie. He has said nothing to be argued with. Except where to find a good bean burrito. Think for a second, had O been hired to coach OSU, who here would be laughing? Every breathing soul on this and every LSU board. And for what reason? His resume to do so.

I haven't made a single prediction about the future of O or anyone else. so what can i be wrong about? every post i made was discussing where things were at the time of the hire. nothing more, nothing less. nothing that happens afterward changes what has already happened. Coach O may very well coach the pants off of Saban this weekend. never said he couldn't, or that he wouldn't. what i did say was that he did not outcoach him last year. and until he achieves at least some of the things that other coaches mentioned here have achieved, he can not be listed as being on par or better (i.e. being seen as an advantage) than those coaches. again, that's not a prediction of how the future will go. it's not bashing O as a person or a coach. it's not hating the guy. when you work nights in a town that has only 3 options for lunch at midnight, you learn to like things that wouldn't ordinarily be very high on your list.
I'm not the person who brought up Ole Piss. in fact, multiple times I even said "ignore ole miss" and gave only things that happened at places not named Ole Piss. so, try again.

have I brought it up in the past? yes i did, because whether y'all like it or not, it happened. but go ahead and find a post by me in this topic that uses his Ole Miss tenure. it's 3rd best, but i eat the other 2 so often, i get burned out on them and go there just to change things up a bit.
