I like starting the season against a team that isn't cake but also isn't steak. Should be a challenge and is definitely interesting. Mixing things up isn't always bad. It will be weird watching LSU on Thursday, but it will be a good chance to catch the eye of the public on national tv. If we can pull out two wins against Moo U and Va Polytech & Girls College to start the season it will be a boost to our perception in the national media. It could backfire, too... I'm interested in seeing how Miles can do with a big challenge right away. Saban stunk it up @ Va Tech. :geauxtige

So do we always play Auburn early in the season when its @ Auburn and later on if its at TS? Thats kind of odd. I'm not worried about starting off againt MSU, when was the last time we haven't blown them out? Plus we get extra time to prepare for VT
The schedule looks awesome this year, i'm not gonna say we will be in the NC game, we'll let the players play it out but it seems favorable. The big games are seperated by easier teams and thats always good.
VT should give us an indication of how the season will go because normally we start off slow and get it rolling in late october and on. We're gonna have to worry about the early games and I think we'll be okay

nevermind, they joined in 1999. I just remember all the talk about ESPN finding a replacement and assumed they were 1-aa.

gotcha, no i think they needed to find a replacement b/c they were taking an opponent away but apparently the blue raiders are ok to switch saturdays with.

We had scheduled a different 1aa team. MTSU is in the sun belt.

You definately want to play your better teams later in the season. To this day I believe than in 2005 if we had played Tennessee later in the season we would have beaten them.
