It ain't a referendum on LSU, if you ask me. It's a referendum on Arkansas State, which is one of the worst teams in Division I football. Games like this one just have low interest nationally.

Incidentally I've never seen a team bring fewer fans into Tiger Stadium, even though they are within a day's driving distance. ASU is one of those teams that nobody gives a chit about, I guess. :hihi:

I felt bad for the fans that did make the trip yesterday! Persistence though insurmountable odds!

I was also disappointed that me and my friends didn't get to yell "TIGER BAIT" over the karaoke machine this week because we saw none. :hihi:

The reason the "video" of the LSU game wasn't shown could have been because the people with the rights to the game may not have wanted to sell ESPN the rights. They talked about LSU, and even during the GA/SoCar game they spoke about the upcomming LSU/AU game. LSU will be the focus of gameday for 2 of the first 4 weeks, that is not too bad.

Just keep in mind that some of these smaller broadcast owners don't always agree to sell their coverage to the big networks. I think the this is the reason LSU wasn't given any video air time on ESPN. I don't like ESPN that much, but I have to admit they have given LSU a ton of time on their college shows. Even though we were playing Ark St . . . they talked about LSU during the opening Gameday segment, they also talked about LSU during the mid-day report, and during all three ESPN late night college games (Tex/Ark, GA/SoCar, and OleMiss/Ala).

Our win was also a blow out against a cupcake tune up team for AU. There were about 5 teams in the top 25 that lost, most all of them in huge upsets . . . so I can understand not getting "SC" minutes this week. However, if LSU gets slighted next week against AU, then I'll understand the sheer hate and disdain some fans are feeling now toward ESPN.
