You may be distraught with the wardrobe of JR, but don't forget to feign indifference to his level of accomplishment that allows him to trample on your notions of style. It is within that level of accomplishment that the true point of your post exist. JR isn't bound by the same constraints as you are and in the words of Col. Nathan R, Jessep; "You can't handle the truth!" Chafe inwardly on that the next time you are in Milan being fitted for your next Caraceni.

i, myself, tend to think its an alabama thing. if you were affiliated with bama (namath with the furs and bryant with the ugly hat) or just from the state (jr with the gaudy medallion).

It's an NFL thing. Think about it.

A lot of people tend to think the "bling thing" is an NBA thing. But, considering the "stars" of the NBA (Kobe, Duncan, Nash, etc.) you don't see a lot of them wearing the bling. MLB, same way.

I've have to simpathize with ol' JR even though I was never a big fan of his while he was here... Little to much like a certain former Raider qb for my tastes... however, I went to UL, but I have a room in my house painted Purple and Gold... does that make me at traitor to my school? No, I'm just celebrating my roots, being born and raised in the Baton Rouge area... Not entirely the same since I didn't play for UL, but the same idea applies...
